Vocational Education and Training Sector Visa
This student visa is designed for international students applying to undertake study and training leading to a vocational qualification. The courses covered by this visa are a Certificate I, II, III and IV (except ELICOS) OR a Diploma OR an Advanced Diploma OR a Vocational Graduate Certificate OR a Vocational Graduate Diploma. This student visa allows applicants to live in Australia for the duration of their course.
Before applying for this student visa, applicants must have applied for and have been accepted to study full-time at an educational institution in Australia. This visa may be applied for inside or outside Australia and all applicants must meet health and character criteria. Amongst other criteria, applicants for this student visa must meet English language requirements and have suitable funds to cover their basic financial requirements (such as course fees, living costs and travel costs).
