Independent ELICOS Sector Visa
This student visa is for international students who want to study English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) in Australia. This includes courses that lead to a Certificate I, II, III or IV AND courses that result in no formal Australian award. This student visa allows applicants to live in Australia for the duration of their course.
Before applying for this student visa, applicants must have applied for and have been accepted to study full-time at an educational institution in Australia. This visa may be applied for inside or outside Australia and all applicants must meet health and character criteria. Amongst other criteria, applicants for this student visa must meet English language requirements and have suitable funds to cover their basic financial requirements (such as course fees, living costs and travel costs).
