Australian Spouse Visa

The Spouse visa enables the partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents or eligible New Zealand citizens to remain/travel to Australia to live in Australia with their spouse or de-facto.

Where couples are not married they must be in a de-facto relationship. A couple in a de-facto relationship must be in a spouse-like relationship AND must have been living together for no less than 12 months immediately before the date of applying for their Australian Spouse visa. If the couple is living separately, the separation must not be permanent unless there are compelling and compassionate circumstances.

The Australian Spouse visa may be applied for inside or outside Australia and all applicants must meet health and character criteria.

Immigration Downunder Central Coast & Hunter are registered Australian migration agents and migration specialists who can assist partners in immigrating to Australia.

If getting a spouse visa for your girlfriend/fiancé isn't difficult enough, try living in Central Queensland where the nearest Immigration Advisor is 3 and a half hours away, who takes your money after giving you the wrong information and when you try to contact them they have moved to Sydney , without leaving any contact information. That was the situation Lisa and I faced. We were really wondering if all the hassle was worth it. After many tears, sleepless nights and by a sheer fluke I picked up the yellow pages at my parents place in Wyong NSW and found Immigration Downunder Central Coast & Hunter at Terrigal.
I called up and spoke with Kelly and as they say the rest is history. It was 5 weeks after that first telephone call that Lisa had the Visa. The cost isn't an issue when you really want to be with somebody and we would have paid 10 times the price for our result. Kelly and Ben were so down to earth and couldn’t have been more helpful. When they said they would have something done for us it was done sooner. Their patience with us collecting our information was unbelievable, and to have everything ready on the day of the interview for us surely meant many late nights for both Kelly and Ben.
We can't thank Immigration Downunder enough for what they have done for us. We are getting married on September 6th in Canada and BOTH returning to Australia to live, with our highest recommendations. Thanks again to Kelly and Ben.
